The International Conference on Flexible Automation and Intelligent Manufacturing(FAIM) is a leading international forum to disseminate, to all branches of automation and manufacturing, information on the most recent and relevant research, theories and practices. Following success of the earlier conferences, the 26th FAIM conference will be held in KSTC (Korea Science and Technology Center), Seoul, Republic of KOREA during June 27-30, 2016.
Seoul is the capital and largest metropolis of the Republic of KOREA, located in the western part of the central region of the Korea Peninsula. Seoul has been the center of the country throughout its long history, and now this city is home to over 10 million citizens. Seoul is surrounded by vast mountains and crossed by the Han River. Today, Seoul is a leading and rising global city, resulting from an economic boom and growth The fast-paced and high tech city embraces both tradition and modernity, making it a very unique city.
On June 28 (Day 2), there will be a dinner cruise on the Han River, where you will enjoy panoramic views of the city skyline and many of Seoul's most famous landmarks Also, on June 30 (Day4), a plant tour to Hyundai Motor Company in Asan (1.5 hour drive from the conference venue) will be available for FAIM2016 participants to witness Hyundai's continuous efforts in product life-cycle management On our way back to Seoul, we will visit a research institute for small and medium sized companies, KITECH (Korea Institute of Industrial Technology) as well, to inspect recent development states in smart engineering and 3D Printing.
The FAIM 2016 conference will be co-hosted by Chonbuk National University and Yonsei University, Republic of KOREA, and this conference will link researchers and practitioners both from industry and academia in manufacturing, automation, and other related disciplines from around the world. Also, the wider audience will benefit from the knowledge and experience of leading practitioners and academics in this area.
